Sept 2015 Book Tea with Emma

In the book Tea with Emma, we are introduced to Lucy, a writer who inherits a priceless collection of teacups from her beloved Aunt Lucille. While Lucy admired the tea cups, a flood of memories about why she so admired and loved her auntie caused loving tears to emerge.  Do you have a special person in your life that you so admire? If that person is still living have you told them how much they have positively influenced your life choices? The story opens as Maddie and Lanie are on a flight returning from a wonderful Jane Austen tour through England.  Have you ever taken a once-in-a-lifetime trip? Be prepared to share at least one of your life experiences at Real de Chapala in La Floresta on Sept 17th! I hope that I am not the only one who absolutely adores the premise of the Teacup Novellas series. It is a collection of teacups, each with its own short-two-hour-read-story. The author, Diana Moody delights us by quickly developing characters that come to play their part in a delightfully puposed arrangement. Tea With Emma is a Texan's tale of  high tea in England. A British professor of English literature, shares a cup with a know-it-all matchmaker and has a quick change of personality. Maddie is a lesson for each reader in how NOT to be! She is very controlling, in a irritating sort of way. Each book in this series has questions designed for book club chatter.  Tea with Emma also offers baking recipes that come from England.  It is a charming, fun, short read for our Lakeside Ladies Book Club's second book for the month of August.  The ebook "Tea with Emma" is available on AMAZON for FREE.   Read the reviews, download it, and join us on the 3rd Thursday afternoon in La FLoresta at Real de Chapala. Perhaps bring your favorite Tea Cup to discuss this book on Sept 17, 2015 at 2:00PM.  Order and pay for your own lunch. MUST RSVP: hoylecare@gmail.com
